The Denver-based company said it had a loss of $1.37 per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 57 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 23 cents per share.
The oil and gas company posted revenue of $47.3 million in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $48.9 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $199 million, or $4.04 per share. Revenue was reported as $195.3 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $1.15. A year ago, they were trading at $1.98.
