BOSTON (AP) _ Boston Beer Co. (SAM) on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings of $44.7 million.
The Boston-based company said it had profit of $3.65 per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, were $3.58 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.79 per share.
The brewer posted revenue of $378.5 million in the period.
Boston Beer expects full-year earnings to be $8.70 to $9.30 per share.
Boston Beer shares have risen 55% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $373.49, a climb of 27% in the last 12 months.
