WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwired - Oct 1, 2014) - Boston IVF and Reproductive Science Center of New England (RSC), two leading fertility clinics in the U.S., announced today the organizations have merged to deliver world-class fertility treatments and services, including in vitro fertilization (IVF) and egg freezing, to patients throughout New England and around the world.
"Since 1986, we have been at the forefront of providing advanced reproductive services in New England along with Reproductive Science Center. Our merged organizations will allow us to enhance our investment in clinical care and improve the overall patient experience at each of our centers," said Dr. Michael Alper, President of Boston IVF. "Combining forces was a logical step. It supports our continued mission to provide the highest level of care to our patients via the use of new technologies and an expanded network, while also establishing ourselves as the top resource for reproductive medicine in New England and beyond."
With a total of 18 total physicians and 25 locations, Boston IVF and RSC's combined network of satellite offices and expanded services will improve access to care with increased hours and convenience for patients. This new organization will continue to provide first class fertility care to all patient populations, including those seeking treatment for the first time, advanced-aged patients requiring donor egg/sperm, same-sex couples, and individuals looking to proactively preserve their fertility through egg freezing and banking.
"As two organizations heavily invested in reproductive care for the past two decades, we share a strong passion and dedication to providing superior care to patients at every level of treatment. This merger benefits our patients in many ways, including the advantage of having the top minds in reproductive medicine come together to review and assist in complex fertility cases," said Dr. Samuel Pang, Medical Director of the Reproductive Science Center of New England. "For patients with challenging fertility problems, this is quite promising and unique."
The two organizations will continue to operate their respective labs and pioneering egg bank services. Future initiatives will include opportunities to invest in state-of-the-art technologies that improve IVF success rates, increase access to clinical trials, improve online patient portal information, and expand its social media and online community for individuals experiencing infertility to connect with each other.
"By combining two of the best IVF organizations in the world, we have created an entity whose employees are incredibly dedicated to personalized care and the success of each patient," said Derek Larkin, CEO of Boston IVF. "Through the strengths and talents of our staff, patients will realize better access, better care, and better outcomes."
