CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) _ Bovie Medical Corp. (BVX) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $69.2 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Clearwater, Florida-based company said it had profit of $1.98. Losses, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, came to 1 cent per share.
The medical device maker posted revenue of $3.7 million in the period.
Bovie expects full-year revenue in the range of $15.8 million to $16.2 million.
Bovie shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $5.55, an increase of 40 percent in the last 12 months.
