BP to look to implicate contractors during oil spill trial, NY Times says

BP (BP) plans to contend during its trial over civil damages resulting from the 2010 oil spill that its contractors, including Transocean (RIG) and Halliburton (HAL), should share some of the liability from the spill, according to The New York Times. The first phase of the trial, which is scheduled to kick off next week, is expected to focus on whether BP and its contractors were guilty of gross negligence, the newspaper stated.
