The actor, who also won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor earlier this month, had the audience in stitches with a speech that saw him joke about his failed marriages and Quentin Tarantino’s foot fetish.
Gracing the stage, the actor held up his award and quipped: “I have to add this to my Tinder profile.”
One moment saw him get surprisingly forthcoming about his failed marriages to Aniston and Angelina Jolie.
He said “Let’s be honest; [Cliff Booth] was a difficult part: a guy who gets high, takes his shirt off and doesn’t get on with his wife. It was a big stretch.”
Aniston clapped on as others, including Tom Hanks, Al Pacino and John Lithgow, cheered the actor.
He thanked his co-stars for “elevating his game”. He gave special mention to Margot Robbie, Margaret Qualley and Dakota Fanning – as well as their feet.
“Seriously, Quentin has separated more women from their shoes than the TSA” Pitt joked in reference to the airport security association as well as the many scenes in the film featuring those actors’ feet.
Aniston herself later won Best Actress in a TV show for her role in Apple series The Morning Show.
Meanwhile, Joaquin Phoenix acknowledged Heath Ledger's performance as Joker in his moving acceptance speech and Bong Joon-ho's South Korean film Parasite made history by becoming the first foreign language film in SAG Awards history to win the ceremony's top prize.
