Brazil central bank says it does not flag FX intervention decisions in advance

BRASILIA, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Brazil's central bank said on Friday that it does not flag any decisions on currency market intervention in advance and rejects any suggestion it does, adding that it is constantly monitoring financial markets to ensure they function smoothly.

The central bank's statement comes after economic policy director Fabio Kanczuk said on Friday that the bank could intervene to ease downward pressure on the real resulting from large outflows before year-end related to banks' hedging activities.
