Brazil experiencing high short-term inflation -cenbank chief

BRASILIA, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Inflation is once again an issue in Brazil and financial markets are pricing in high inflation over the short-term, central bank President Roberto Campos Neto said on Tuesday, although he said that longer-term expectations are relatively stable.

Speaking in a live online event hosted by Credit Suisse, Campos Neto said fresh fiscal stimulus could have an unintended contractionary effect on the economy if market risk premiums rise sharply, adding that Brazil has little fiscal room for maneuver.
