Brazil facing short-term challenge of low growth, high inflation -Campos Neto

BRASILIA, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Brazil faces a potential near-term challenge of sluggish economic growth and high inflation, but more government spending is not the answer, central bank President Roberto Campos Neto said on Thursday.

Speaking in an online live event hosted by investment adviser Monte Bravo, Campos Neto said temporary upward price pressures had started to seep into underlying inflation measures and expectations, but the central bank has a window to wait and see how various factors feed into inflation readings.
