Brazil inflation spike to continue for few more months - cenbank director

BRASILIA, Nov 6 (Reuters) - The recent food price-fueled spike in Brazilian inflation has been higher than expected and is likely to continue for a few more months, but inflation will not be a problem next year or 2022, central bank director Fabio Kanczuk said on Friday.

Speaking in a live online forum hosted by Itau bank, Kanczuk said the spike is temporary and should not affect policy, adding that policymakers are watching inflation developments but remain "super calm". (Reporting by Marcela Ayres and Jamie McGeever)
