Brazil inflation spike is temporary but bears monitoring -cenbank chief

BRASILIA, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Brazilian central bank President Roberto Campos Neto said on Wednesday that the country's recent spike in inflation is temporary and will soon normalize, though policymakers are monitoring developments closely.

In an interview with online personal finance channel Me Poupe, Campos Neto said a weak exchange rate, rising food and commodity prices and consumer demand resulting from emergency aid to the poor are all pushing up inflation in the short term.
