Brazil says hackers targeted COVID-19 data

RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Brazil's health ministry said on Friday that it had been the victim of a hacker attack which had affected the reporting of COVID-19 case numbers and deaths in recent days.

The government website where Brazil publishes its daily COVID-19 reporting is now back online after being down for several days. The ministry warned the numbers may not be completely up to date, but that it expected to have fixed the issue by Monday.
