DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ Brown & Brown Inc. (BRO) on Monday reported third-quarter profit of $115.6 million.
The Daytona Beach, Florida-based company said it had profit of 41 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 39 cents per share.
The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 39 cents per share.
The insurance company posted revenue of $618.7 million in the period, surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $608.4 million.
Brown & Brown shares have increased 30% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $35.86, a climb of 28% in the last 12 months.
