BILLERICA, Mass. (AP) _ Bruker Corp. (BRKR) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $21.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Billerica, Massachusetts-based company said it had net income of 13 cents. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, were 19 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 19 cents per share.
The scientific equipment maker posted revenue of $384.9 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $372 million.
Bruker expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.05 to $1.09 per share.
Bruker shares have climbed 18 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $24.91, a decline of 11 percent in the last 12 months.
