BT, BSkyB in price war over sports subscriptions for pubs, FT says

BT Group (BT) will significantly undercut the pricing of sports network subscriptions to pubs from British Sky Broadcasting (BSYBY), and BSkyB has already offered some prominent pub groups discounts of up to 30% as a preemptive measure, according to Financial Times. Pub and club subscriptions account for between GBP200M-GBP300M of News Corp. (NWSA) controlled BSkyB’s annual revenues and a contributor to its pre-tax profit, the report noted.
