LIMA, Peru (AP) _ Compania de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $67.3 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Lima, Peru-based company said it had a loss of 27 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 5 cents per share.
The miner posted revenue of $256 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $64.4 million, or 21 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.17 billion.
Buenaventura shares have climbed nearly 2 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $16.52, an increase of almost 7 percent in the last 12 months.
