CACI Selected for Defense Contract

CACI International Inc (CACI) recently announced that it was selected as one of the seven primary contractors to provide battlespace awareness services for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (:SSC) Atlantic. The 5-year contract is estimated at $899 million.

Leveraging its selection as one of the prime contractors, CACI International intends to expand its presence in the C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance) and cyber markets. With the growing menace of cyber attacks, the demand for secured cyber solutions has moved up considerably. This new contract fosters significant growth for CACI International in the high-volume C4ISR market and high-growth cyber market. It entails the company to provide development, integration, testing of intelligence, battlespace awareness and other services to the U.S Navy.

A leader in IT outsourcing for the U.S. federal government, CACI International has ample exposure to the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security budgets. CACI International’s system-integration skills and intelligence expertise consume a significant portion of the funds earmarked for the Department of Homeland Security while creating systems that will facilitate sharing of critical information among all intelligence agencies.

Based in Arlington, Virginia, CACI International delivers IT applications and infrastructure to improve communications and secure the integrity of information systems and networks, enhance data collection and analysis, and increase efficiency and mission effectiveness.

CACI International is expected to release its fourth-quarter 2012 results on January 30, 2013. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the fourth quarter earnings is currently pegged at $1.64.
