Caesars posts loss in Sandy aftermath

Hurricane, Impairment Charges Take a Toll

Caesars Entertainment reported a hefty loss of $3.75 a share on impairment charges and as Superstorm Sandy hurt business. Revenue of $2.02 billion also missed the $2.11 billion average analyst estimate. CZR drops 8 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

Spreadtrum Earnings, Revenue Beat the Street

Spreadtrum Communications earned $0.59 a share in the fourth quarter on revenue of $203 million. Analysts had only expected $0.50 and $196 million, respectively. SPRD climbs 10 percent in early trading.

Titan Indicated to Open Lower

Titan International earned just $0.09 a share, well below the $0.47 estimate. Revenue of $493.6 million lagged the $560 million consensus number. TWI is down 12 percent in the premarket.
