JACKSON, Miss. (AP) _ Cal-Maine Foods Inc. (CALM) on Friday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $21.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Jackson, Mississippi-based company said it had profit of 45 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 49 cents per share.
The egg producer posted revenue of $356 million in the period.
Cal-Maine shares have decreased slightly since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 3 percent in the last 12 months.
