HOUSTON (AP) _ Calpine Corp. (CPN) on Friday reported fourth-quarter net income of $24 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had profit of 7 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 40 cents per share.
The power company posted revenue of $1.58 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $92 million, or 26 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $6.72 billion.
Calpine shares have decreased 3 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 24 percent in the last 12 months.
