The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.40 per share.
The life sciences company posted revenue of $134.3 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $92.4 million, or $2.75 per share. Revenue was reported as $532.1 million.
Cambrex shares have risen roughly 10 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 22 percent in the last 12 months.
