CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as U.S. debt worries weigh

TORONTO, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index

opened lower on Monday, hurt by declines in every major sector,

as concerns about the U.S. budget crisis and political

uncertainty in Italy dampened sentiment.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index

was down 79.72 points, or 0.62 percent, at 12,764.36

shortly after the open.
