CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) _ Capitala Finance Corp. (CPTA) on Monday reported a second-quarter loss of $29.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of $1.81. Earnings, adjusted for investment costs, came to 25 cents per share.
The business development company posted revenue of $11.6 million in the period.
Capitala Finance shares have risen 30% since the beginning of the year.
