Capitol Federal posts 4Q profit

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ Capitol Federal Financial Inc. (CFFN) on Friday reported fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $20.6 million.

On a per-share basis, the Topeka, Kansas-based company said it had profit of 15 cents.

The holding company for Capitol Federal Savings Bank posted revenue of $86.5 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $55.6 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $84.1 million, or 63 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $335.4 million.

Capitol Federal shares have decreased 9 percent since the beginning of the year.
