Cardi B just Revealed Her Shortest Manicure in Ages
If you keep up with Cardi B's ever-changing manicures, then you'll know last weekend she was walking around with ultra-long, Barbie-pink nails complete with crystal and pearl appliques. This week, though, the "WAP" singer's digits are looking decidedly different, not from a nail-art standpoint — but length-wise. Basically, for the first time in a long time, the rapper is wearing her nails on the short side, and she's not happy about it.
On Friday night, the Hustlers actress debuted her new crystal-covered nails via Instagram Stories — along with an explanation about why she's taking a break from long nails for the time being. The caption reads: "Short till my nails get some strength😢😭 I hate short nails but @nailson7th said this will do."
In other words, it sounds like Cardi B's go-to manicurist, Jenny Bui, told her that it's ultimately in her best interest to avoid the super-duper long style until her natural nails get stronger. Nevertheless, if you ask us, Cardi B's nails look as amazing as ever — I mean, just look at that next-level jewel work, folks. Bui has knocked it out of the park yet again.
As for how the singer can strengthen her nails, well, there are a few things she can do according to Allure's guide to growing back healthy nails after removing a gel manicure, which can weaken them.
