SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) _ CareDx Inc. (CDNA) on Thursday reported a loss of $5.8 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the South San Francisco, California-based company said it had a loss of 14 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to less than 1 cent on a per-share basis.
The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 2 cents per share.
The molecular diagnostics company posted revenue of $38.4 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $38.2 million.
CareDx shares have climbed 18% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $25.38, a fall of 8% in the last 12 months.
