Caroline Flack was arrested just yesterday after being charged with assault following an alleged argument that turned physically aggressive with boyfriend Lewis Burton.
Met Police told Cosmopolitan UK that, "Caroline Flack, 40, of Islington was charged on 13 December with assault by beating. This follows an incident at approximately 05:25hrs on Thursday, 12 December after reports of a man being assaulted. He was not seriously injured."
Lewis was reportedly taken to hospital, though his injuries were not serious.
So far, neither Caroline nor boyfriend Lewis have commented on the incedent. Earlier today, Lewis broke his silence on social media, posting a sweet photo of the two of them on his Instagram Story, accompanied by a heart emoji.
Caroline's spokesman told Cosmopolitan UK: "We confirm that police attended Caroline’s home following a private domestic incident. She is co-operating with the appropriate people to resolve matters. We will not be making any further comment for legal reasons."
Following this, there has been discussion over whether or not Caroline will remain the host of Love Island. If this is the case, her role will have to be filled at extremely short notice.
Fans are speculating over who the replacement may be, with people pointing to Maya Jama. Currently, nothing has been confirmed and the decisions are dependant on the outcome of the case.
