'Carpool Karaoke': Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams do 'Thrones' impressions
Like father, like daughters. In tonight’s Game of Thrones-themed episode of Apple Music’s Carpool Karaoke series, onscreen sisters (and real-life BFFs) Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams channel their long-dead TV papa, Sean Bean, by reading familiar sentences in the voices of Ned Stark and other gruff Westerosi citizens. You can get a sneak peek at the hilarity in the just-released clip above, where Turner does a Starkly-brilliant reading of “Hakuna Matata” that would chill the blood of the White Walkers — if they even had blood in their icy veins.
Interestingly, Williams is also heard pitching a scenario where Arya returns triumphantly to Winterfell and channels Nintendo’s portly plumber Mario in her first greeting to Sansa in years. Of course, as we all know by now, Arya has indeed returned to Winterfell, which means that the duo’s Karaoke joyride was filmed before production finished on the current season… or that they’re just really, really good at not dropping dragon-sized spoilers in casual conversation.
