HOUSTON (AP) _ Carriage Services Inc. (CSV) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $2.7 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Houston-based company said it had a loss of 14 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 23 cents per share.
The provider of funeral and cemetary services and products posted revenue of $66.5 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $11.6 million, or 63 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $268 million.
Carriage Services expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.34 to $1.44 per share, with revenue in the range of $270 million to $274 million.
Carriage Services shares have increased 29 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $19.92, a decline of 28 percent in the last 12 months.
