SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) _ Carrols Restaurant Group Inc. (TAST) on Wednesday reported a loss of $11.5 million in its first quarter.
The Syracuse, New York-based company said it had a loss of 32 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 29 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 16 cents per share.
The restaurant operator posted revenue of $290.8 million in the period.
Carrols Restaurant shares have climbed slightly more than 7% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined slightly more than 4% in the last 12 months.
