SOMERSET, N.J. (AP) _ Catalent Inc. (CTLT) on Tuesday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $31.7 million.

The Somerset, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 22 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 49 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 45 cents per share.

The maker of drug delivery technologies posted revenue of $617.5 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $644.2 million.

Catalent expects full-year revenue in the range of $2.5 billion to $2.52 billion.

Catalent shares have increased 49% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 14% in the last 12 months.
