We caught the new Chevy Corvette ZR1 live on video

During one of our weekly Facebook Live videos, we spotted a new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 convertible out and about in the wild. The driver was cruising up Woodward Avenue, just a couple miles north of Autoblog HQ and just south of Pontiac, Michigan. I, in an attempt to totally derail the original focus of the video, commenced a short chase of the 'Vette in a 2017 Nissan Titan XD Pro-4X. Skip to 6:30 to watch the scene unfold. Also, forgive my dumb face in the video's still image.

The driver was simply cruising up Woodward without a care in the world. I caught him in the Titan's mirror coming up on my left. Most of the time, the drivers behind the wheel of these prototypes will try to avoid you if they see you taking photos or video. This guy either didn't see us or didn't care. Maybe he was just trying to show the car off ahead of this weekend's Woodward Dream Cruise.

We still don't know much about the car, and Chevy has refused to drop even the smallest bit of data. Either way, it was cool to finally see one in the camouflage-covered flesh.
