CBS renews 11 shows while Criminal Minds remains in limbo

CBS has picked up 11 of its series for the 2018-19 season ahead of next month’s upfront presentations for Madison Avenue.

Coming back for another year are Blue Bloods, Bull, Hawaii Five-0, Madam Secretary, MacGyver, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, Survivor, The Amazing Race, 48 Hours, and 60 Minutes. Previously announced pickups by CBS were The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Mom, NCIS, SEAL Team, and S.W.A.T.

But what about Criminal Minds? A decision about a 14th season may not come until right before the New York upfronts, which begin May 14. Other CBS shows that remain on the bubble are Kevin Can Wait, Life in Pieces, Scorpion, Man with a Plan, Superior Donuts, Living Biblically, Elementary, and Code Black.

And we’d love to know whether there will be another Celebrity Big Brother, but maybe that’s just us.
