Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the Wifog Holding AB (publ) (STO:WIFOG) Chairman, Fredrik Crafoord, recently bought kr400k worth of stock, for kr0.008 per share. Even though that isn't a massive buy, it did increase their holding by 73%, which is a arguably a good sign.

Wifog Holding Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent purchase by Fredrik Crafoord is the biggest insider purchase of Wifog Holding shares that we've seen in the last year. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of kr0.011. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.

Insider Ownership of Wifog Holding

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Our data indicates that Wifog Holding insiders own about kr718k worth of shares (which is 13% of the company). But they may have an indirect interest through a corporate structure that we haven't picked up on. Whilst better than nothing, we're not overly impressed by these holdings.

So What Do The Wifog Holding Insider Transactions Indicate?

It is good to see the recent insider purchase. And an analysis of the transactions over the last year also gives us confidence. But we don't feel the same about the fact the company is making losses. On this analysis the only slight negative we see is the fairly low (overall) insider ownership; their transactions suggest that they are quite positive on Wifog Holding stock.
