The first trailer for Bombshell, Annapurna Pictures' film about Roger Ailes and the women who brought the sexual harassment allegations that forced him to retire from Fox News, is finally here.

The clip is less than two minutes long, and no one says anything at all, but the tension is palpable. Plus, if gives us our first look at Charlize Theron's performance. She's almost unrecognizable as Megyn Kelly in the sneak peek.

If your interest is piqued, here's everything else we know about the film so far:

Nicole Kidman will play former Fox News personality Gretchen Carlson.

It was Carlson who filed a sexual-harassment lawsuit against Ailes in 2016. They settled for $20 million, and her case prompted several other women to come forward.

Carlson responded to the news of Kidman's casting in a tweet. "As the first person to take the risk - it also means I can’t share all of the details of what really happened, so I hope the true story is depicted," she wrote. "The most important thing is that so many more women are now believed and have been given a voice. "

We got our first look at Kidman in character in December, when photos of Kidman on set wearing a hot pink dress surfaced.

She's also featured in the new trailer (above).

Charlize Theron will play former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly.

Kelly's memoir Settle for More also accused Ailes of harassment. "Roger called me up to New York and we had a shocking exchange," she writes at one point. "I was nervous about going into his office, concerned he might start in again. Sure enough he did. And then he crossed a new line—trying to grab me repeatedly and kiss me on the lips.”

Other cast members include Margot Robbie, John Lithgow and Kate McKinnon.

Lithgow will play Ailes and Deadline reports that McKinnon will play a fictionalized character. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Robbie will play an associate producer at the news network."

The movie will be written by Charles Randolph.

It will be directed by Jay Roach, and it's expected to hit theaters this December.
