CINCINNATI (AP) _ Chemed Corp. (CHE) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $50.7 million.
The Cincinnati-based company said it had net income of $3.08 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $3.36 per share.
The operator of the Roto-Rooter plumbing service and Vitas Healthcare hospices posted revenue of $473.6 million in the period.
Chemed shares have increased 32% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $373.46, a climb of 16% in the last 12 months.
