'Chicago Fire' premiere sneak peek: Will Casey survive?

The stakes have never been higher for Firehouse 51.

Last spring’s finale of NBC’s Chicago Fire ended with Casey (Jesse Spencer), Mouch (Christian Stolte), and other members of the squad trapped in a blazing warehouse inferno. Things were not looking good. Casey even called wife Gabby (Monica Raymund) one last time to say goodbye. Sob!

In this exclusive first look clip from next week’s season premiere, Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) is forced to make a very difficult decision on how to quench the raging fire and save as many lives as possible.

Turn on the water cannons.

The crew outside objects — the combination of water and the scorching heat will boil their comrades. “What choice do I have?” Boden asks, clearly torn.

He yells at everyone inside to take cover, and as Gabby and the others pray for their loved ones, friends, and colleagues, the water storm begins.

Will Casey make it out alive? Can Mouch survive his heart attack and the deluge?

Tune in to the Season 6 premiere of Chicago Fire on Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. to find out.
