NEW YORK (AP) _ Chimera Investment Corp. (CIM) on Thursday reported first-quarter profit of $239 million.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had net income of $1.22. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 58 cents per share.
The mortgage investor posted revenue of $297.1 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $147.9 million.
Chimera shares have decreased 6 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 10 percent in the last 12 months.
