China steel body says EU anti-dumping duties on stainless steel are 'over-protection'
BEIJING (Reuters) - China's Iron and Steel Association said provisional anti-dumping duties the EU has imposed on some of China's stainless steel products are excessive.
"Hot rolled stainless steel products are included in the EU's steel safeguard measures, which had given China quotas of imports," the industry association told Reuters in a note. "The anti-dumping duties this time is over-protection."
The European Commission has imposed provisional anti-dumping duties on hot rolled stainless steel sheets and coils originating in China, Indonesia and Taiwan.
