  • Chip and Joanna Gaines have shared the first show that will be part of their upcoming Magnolia Network.
  • The husband-wife musical duo, Johnnyswim, will star in a six-episode series titled Home on the Road.
  • It'll showcase the musicians touring North America with their two young children.

It seems like Chip and Joanna Gaines are sharing major news almost every day. Shortly after announcing their new hotel venture, sharing the first tour of Magnolia Press and wrapping up their 5th annual Silobration in Waco, the former Fixer Upper stars have revealed the first show that will be a part of their highly anticipated TV network, and of course, it has to do with family.

If you’ve been following the Gaines since their HGTV days, you’ve most likely heard of their friends Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano, better known as the folk-pop band Johnnyswim. But if that still doesn’t ring a bell, just take another listen to the Fixer Upper theme song, performed by the husband-wife music duo.

The six-episode series, titled Home on the Road, will follow the couple as their band tours across North America, and their two young children will also be along for the ride, making it a family affair.

“OMG WERE DOING A TV SHOW WITH @joannagaines @chipgaines @discoveryinctv…COMIN SOOOOON (ish),” the musicians wrote on Instagram.

“Amanda and Abner are magnetic,” Chip and Jo told People. “Ever since we met them a little over five years ago, we’ve been drawn to the way they navigate family, community, and life on the road. They’re not just musicians, they’re storytellers and together, they are a true picture of the relentless pursuit of following a dream and making it a reality; but their dream doesn’t stop with them—it’s extended to their family and fans and everyone they meet.”

Before releasing their first full-length album in 2014, Ramirez and Sudano had a whirlwind romance, which has become the foundation of their “soulful anthems.” Now, the Los Angeles-based couple is ready to show the world how they juggle pursing their passion for music while also raising their 4-year-old son, Joaquin, and 1-year-old daughter, Luna.

Although Johnnyswim has earned recognized from Rolling Stone, Vogue, VH1, among others, the two haven’t forgotten about their longtime friends, Chip and Jo, and make sure to put time aside to participate in their annual Silobration.

Magnolia Network is set to officially launch in summer 2020 and throughout the process, Jo has shared that the goal will be to tell stories.
