Chipotle is Releasing A Makeup Collection With e.l.f. And It Includes An Avocado Makeup Sponge
Chipotle Mexican Grill and e.l.f. Cosmetics have teamed up for a food-themed makeup collection that absolutely no one asked for, but absolutely everyone needs.
The two brands–both with cult followings of their own–announced the unexpected news earlier today. Ngl, when I first found out, my eyes rolled for several minutes–the last thing the beauty world needs is another nonsensical, money-grab makeup launch. But rest assured, this collab slaps just as hard as the dishes it was inspired by.
e.l.f. x Chipotle hits on the four staples of the fast casual restaurant's menu: burritos, salsa, chips, and guac, with a product inspired by each. The Chipotle Eyeshadow Palette includes matte and shimmer pigments that mimic the earthy tones of your favorite burrito bowl. You can smudge on the golden color of their corn salsa, the purple-brown shade of black beans, and the muted red found in their famous salsa. (Related: I'm hungry.)
Though the palette is the main attraction, this line comes with three side dishes that are just as yummy: a tortilla chip makeup bag, a salsa-inspired lip-plumping gloss, and a makeup sponge duo that looks like an avocado.
Each product also includes e.l.f.'s famously affordable prices (nothing's over $18) and Chipotle's environmentally-conscious values (vegan, cruelty-free, and made without phthalates, parabens, nonylphenol ethoxylates, triclosan, triclocarban, or hydroquinone).
All four items in the limited-edition collection will be available to shop at elfcosmetics.com on March 9. Beauty Squad Loyalty Program members will get early access (it's free to sign up, btw), while non-members can shop on March 10.
