Chrissy Teigen’s dad gets HUGE tattoo of her face to celebrate her birthday
Chrissy Teigen’s father has decided to mark the model’s 33rd birthday – with a huge tattoo of his daughter’s face on his upper arm.
Teigen, who celebrated her birthday on November 30, shared a photo of Ron Teigen Sr’s new body art on Instagram, which showed her dad posing alongside tattooist Mark Mahoney. She captioned the image: “MY DAD GOT A TATTOO OF ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY. By the incredible @markmahoney_ssc.”
Teigen Sr appeared to have provided a black and white portrait of his daughter for Mahoney to copy, which can be seen taped below the finished tattoo.
Based at the Shamrock Social Club on Sunset Boulevard, Mahoney is one of Hollywood’s most in-demand tattoo artists, and counts stars such as Adele, David Beckham, Rihanna and Angelina Jolie among his clients.

Teigen’s famous friends were quick to respond to her father’s unusual gesture. Kim Kardashian simply commented “OMG”, while Mindy Kaling wrote: “Literally cannot believe.”

When one fan on Twitter suggested that Teigen’s father’s exploits “sound[ed] like a Youtube title,” she responded: “LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE.”
Earlier this year, the Cravings author cleared up any confusion about her parents’ living arrangements, confirming that her mum Vilailuck lives with her and husband John Legend, while her dad lives nearby.
“So my mom lives with us, but everybody is like, ‘Where’s your dad?’” she told an audience in West Hollywood back in January.
“He comes by every day and they’re married. It just works for them,” she explained. “It’s a good family life. We’re very close, very tight-knit.”
