AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ Chuy's Holdings Inc. (CHUY) on Tuesday reported first-quarter net income of $3.2 million.
The Austin, Texas-based company said it had profit of 19 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to 21 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 19 cents per share.
The restaurant operator posted revenue of $102.1 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $102.8 million.
Chuy's shares have increased 12% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $19.91, a drop of 34% in the last 12 months.
