AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ Chuy's Holdings Inc. (CHUY) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $6.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the Austin, Texas-based company said it had profit of 37 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 42 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 37 cents per share.
The restaurant operator posted revenue of $113.1 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $112.2 million.
Chuy's expects full-year earnings in the range of 93 cents to 97 cents per share.
Chuy's shares have increased 34% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $23.85, a decline of 22% in the last 12 months.
