BOSTON (AP) _ Civitas Solutions Inc. (CIVI) on Monday reported fiscal first-quarter net income of $6.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Boston-based company said it had profit of 18 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 50 cents per share.

The provider of group homes and home-based care for the developmentally disabled posted revenue of $406.6 million in the period.

Civitas Solutions shares have risen 1 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 14 percent in the last 12 months.
