On a per-share basis, the Canonsburg, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of 47 cents.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 43 cents per share.
The natural gas assets owner posted revenue of $61 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $66.4 million.
CNX Midstream shares have increased 9 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 13 percent in the last 12 months.
