Coleen Nolan has tried to remain positive after her sisters Linda and Anne revealed they both have cancer, a supportive statement shared to her Twitter account has revealed.

Linda and Anne shared the news they were both receiving treatment for cancer on Sunday (2 August) and younger sister Coleen took to social media to show her support for the pair.

A statement shared to the Loose Women star's Twitter account said: "They’ve beaten it before - they can beat it again... Please keep them in your thoughts and well wishes X”

Linda's cancer is in her liver after she previously overcome breast cancer in 2006. She has also previously had cellulitis and lymphoedema back in 2007, as well as secondary cancer in her pelvis in 2017.

Anne has stage three breast cancer, having beaten the same illness back in 2000.

They have both received chemotherapy treatment at Blackpool's Victoria Hospital.

Sister Bernie also had cancer, losing her battle in 2013.

Despite the harrowing news, the sisters appear to be dealing with it with a dose of humour.

Linda told The Sun: “We laughed and we cried really. It’s hysterical. Forget the Chemical Brothers, we’ve become the Chemo Sisters.”

But there is also a fear of the worst for Anne. She said: “I love my life so much. I love my daughters, my grandchildren, my friends, all my family. I want to live for as long as I possibly can.”

Linda added: “It’s just really hard and I’m scared of dying. I don’t want to die. I want to be around and see my great nieces and nephews grow up, and that’s why I’m putting everything I’ve got into trying to get well.”
