Colombia to restart international flights from Cartagena on Sept. 19

·1 min read

BOGOTA, Sept 16 (Reuters) - International flights from Colombia's Caribbean city of Cartagena will restart on Sept. 19 with inbound and outbound journeys to Florida, the government said on Wednesday.

Last week the government said international flights would gradually reopen beginning Sept. 21, marking the end of a six-month period during which they were suspended to contain the spread of coronavirus.

A flight operated by Spirit Airlines is due to arrive at Cartagena's Rafael Nunez airport from Fort Lauderdale in three days' time, while local airline Viva Air is set to conduct a flight from the Caribbean city to Miami on the same day, the government said.
