EA posts strong quarter, Lyft reports growth, GE’s big meeting

Here are the companies Yahoo Finance is watching today.

A surprise quarter at Electronic Arts (EA). The gaming company behind titles like ‘Apex Legends’ posted stronger than expected sales and positive guidance, though revenue was down from a year ago. The company plans to expand its subscription service to Sony's Playstation 4 starting in July.

A mixed picture at Lyft (LYFT). The ridesharing company reported strong growth last quarter, and nearly double the revenue from a year before. However, losses continue to grow, now topping a billion dollars. A lot of that was because of stock options connected with its IPO in March.

Expect General Electric’s (GE) leaders to get an earful today when they meet with shareholders for the company's annual meeting. They're set to elect an overhauled board of directors, including CEO and Chairman Lawrence Culp. Several shareholder proposals will be on the agenda, including separating those roles, which the board opposes.

McDonald's (MCD) is getting in on the meatless burger trend in one of its biggest international markets. The fast-food chain is selling the Big Vegan TS in Germany and having Nestle make the meatless patties. The chain started selling the plant-based burgers last month and the trend has just kept on growing.

Apple (AAPL) is going full force with its its efforts to bring its retail stores to India, the world's fastest-growing smartphone market. The tech giant says it's narrowed down a list of locations for its first store in India, taking a closer look at up-scale sites in Mumbai. The company is set to make a final decision on a spot in the next few weeks.
