·         Shares JD.Com JD slid more than 2.2% after the company reported its second-quarter loss of $614.1 billion because of higher marketing expenses

·         Apple Inc.’s AAPL shares increased 1.5% after it entered into an agreement with Aetna Inc. AET to offer the insurance company’s customers its fitness tracking smartwatch at a discounted price
